Deal
Wasn't at this show (I don't think...hard to remember) but the Deal kicks ass. And while Desolation Row is certainly not my most favorite Dylan cover,
...
Bobby always rocked it with feeling. I love the fact he could remember all 400 verses of it and still forget the lyrics to Truckin' or Promised Land.

Inspired Show
I saw 35 shows in 1991 and this one was easily in my top 5... and 1991 was a fantastic year for the Grateful Dead. Amazing energy in the Knick and the
...
spectacular performances of Help>Slip>Franklin's, Brown Eyed Women, Deal, Samson>China Cat and Good Lovin are enough alone to elevate this show for me... As I think back over the 100 shows I attended between 1989 and 2003... this one always rises to the highest level of the list of absolute favorites.
Crossed the border at a ripe young age to catch this, my first show. While I was blown away and had a blast, I must agree w/ BraD in that this show does
...
seem to be a little over-rated. Great sound indeed, but the performance is not at the level of a great show. Fun times none-the-less (apart from almost getting tampled by a police horse while peaking outside!). God Bless!

4.5 stars!?
This show does not deserve 4.5 stars. I was going through and listening to all of the 4+ shows and this is not up to even 4 stars. Even for a 91 show
...
it is only o.k. I think it deserves 2.5 but I will give it 2 to knock it down from its undeserved heights.

Some Good Some Bad
This show is interesting. There are some really high points and some really low points too. The worst low point for me is Desolation Row....Bobby is
...
out of tune...bigtime...and he's really loud so it just makes it worse. Sucks b/c Jerry is gorgeous on this tune. Overall, this show deserves a 4 all around.

Another Great Show from '91
The recording is great, the mixing is great, the playing is great and man oh man do I love Jerry's voice on this one. Naturally, he's sounding ragged,
...
but not thin or weak-- there's power and expression behind his inflections all around. Bobby is very creative and not at all obnoxious, which is fortunate because he's quite prominant in the mix. The show feels fresh and creative; give it a listen!
